Who We Are

Crafting Tomorrow's Living Spaces Today

Our design approach

Our Philosophy

Look, we're not gonna pretend architecture's just about making pretty buildings. It's way bigger than that. When we design a space - whether it's someone's home or a massive commercial complex - we're basically shaping how people'll live, work, and interact for decades to come.

Started back in 2012, our studio's always been obsessed with one thing: how do we create structures that don't just look good today but actually make sense for tomorrow? Sustainability isn't some checkbox for us - it's baked into everything we touch. We've seen too many buildings go up that ignore their environmental footprint, and honestly, that approach feels kinda outdated now.

Every project we take on gets the same treatment - careful listening, thoughtful planning, and designs that respect both the client's vision and the community around it. We're based in Toronto, but our influence spans across Canada, working with folks who get that good architecture should elevate lives without compromising our planet.

We believe spaces should tell stories, not just fill skylines.

What Drives Us

We're not trying to reinvent the wheel here - just making sure it rolls smoothly into the future.

01

Sustainable First

Every decision we make considers environmental impact. It's not optional anymore - it's essential. We've worked on projects that reduced energy consumption by 40% just by rethinking orientation and materials.

02

Community Focused

Buildings exist in neighborhoods, not vacuums. We spend time understanding the local context - the people, the culture, the existing fabric. Good architecture fits in while standing out.

03

Timeless Design

Trends come and go, but solid design principles stick around. We're creating structures that'll still feel relevant 30 years from now - not dated relics of whatever's hot this season.

Meet The Team

The folks who make it all happen

Sarah Onyx

Sarah Onyx

Principal Architect & Founder

Sarah's been obsessed with buildings since she was a kid drawing floor plans on napkins. With 18 years of experience, she leads our design vision and makes sure we never lose sight of the human element in our work. She's particularly passionate about adaptive reuse projects.

Marcus Ralen

Marcus Ralen

Lead Sustainable Design Consultant

Marcus joined us in 2015 after getting frustrated with conventional practices ignoring climate realities. He's got a master's in Environmental Design and won't let any project move forward without a solid sustainability strategy. He's also our go-to for LEED certifications.

Jennifer Quinth

Jennifer Quinth

Director of Urban Planning

Jen thinks in city blocks, not just buildings. She came from municipal planning and brings that macro perspective to every project. Her work ensures our designs enhance neighborhoods instead of disrupting them. She's also really into heritage preservation.

David Chen

David Chen

Senior Interior Space Planner

David's all about how spaces actually feel when you're in them. He's worked on everything from minimalist condos to sprawling commercial lobbies, and he's got this uncanny ability to maximize functionality without sacrificing aesthetics. Clients love working with him.

Aisha Patel

Aisha Patel

Project Manager & Client Relations

Aisha keeps everything running smoothly - and trust us, that's harder than it sounds. She's the bridge between our design team and clients, making sure nothing gets lost in translation. Her organizational skills are honestly legendary around here.

Our Approach

We don't follow some rigid formula. Every client's different, every site's different, every challenge requires fresh thinking. That said, there are some principles we never compromise on.

First, we listen - like really listen. You'd be surprised how many firms jump straight to sketches without understanding what the client actually needs. We spend time in the discovery phase because getting it right at the start saves everyone headaches later.

Then comes the fun part - concept development. We usually present a few directions, not just one "take it or leave it" option. Architecture's collaborative, and the best results come from dialogue.

Finally, we stay involved through construction. A design's only as good as its execution, so we're there making sure the vision translates to reality.

Team collaboration
